Sanji has always been this way what are you guys talking about? He always sides with the women in the crew. Even if nami just fall down he would come down on zoro or whoever faults it was. He even blatantly said to usopp that he dont care if usopp dies as long as nami is safe during the skypiea arc. He has always been a dick to the men in the straw hats when it comes to women. Jimbei is still a stranger to him plus sanji was the only strawhat present during the arlong park arc when jimbei was telling the story. Usopp and zoro isnt there and luffy out here sleeping. Those 4 strawhats know nami's pain more than the other straw hats. Pretty sure zoro and usopp would react the same way sanji did but not to the point where they would tell jimbei to die because they aint simps like sanji. Sure he overreacted a little bit. But thats sanji being sanji whenever Robin/ Nami or any beautiful ladies are involved

This episode is another notch against Sanji. Mans was dope for a while but then he started to take some Ls. This here? Yeah, this was one of his biggest ones. Man can't even make the distinction that Jinbe didn't do it like Nami did even though Nami's been through far much more trauma.

I feel the hate like skypiea and the following two arcs were just cause of the waiting of the episodes to come out. I remember when I caught up too One Piece it was this arc but near the end. I didn't mind it.

Hatchi said something very powerful about the difference between Hordy and Arlong in this episode. He said Arlong hated humans a ton, but never turned on other fishmen, even if he disagreed with them. Hordy has been willing to kill humans AND fishmen in pursuit of his goals

people hate this arc but damn, i think in its theme's it's Oda at his very best, how he goes about racism and prejudice and fits it in his world is amazing. One Piece is more than hype fights and not a lot of people care or understand.
