this makes no sense? he regarded her as so because he traveled with her overseas. if he traveled with bon clay then he would be considered the same thing. also wtf is "straw hat material?" if we met him before the 50 episode mark on some random island in the east and he wasn't with crocodile he woulda joined the crew. vivi is essentially useless on the crew tho. nami is essential because she can navigate, robin is essential to learn the history of the show and do other stuff but spoilers. zoro is essential because he is arguably as strong as luffy and we need at least 1 other very strong character. sanji is the cook. brook keeps up moral and so on. vivi uh.. she uh.. i mean.. i dunno she is just there doing absolutely nothing? anyway thats my opinion about it.

yeah i agree... thing is, the only who decides whether someone is nakama or not is luffy and while luffy obv greatly appreciates bon clay as a friend, he only ever calls him that (a friend) and not nakama. there's a difference. luffy actually referred to vivi as nakama and definitely regarded her as that, and now whether or not you like it is on you. (ps not YOU you, but the general you lmao)

The Vivi disrespect was real. Honestly though, she for me is more of a Strawhat then Bon Clay. Bon Clay for me didn't even go over Laboon. Yes Bon Clay is loyal, and a good friend but he was never Straw Hat material.
