Nah I have a theory that it's apart of the "color of arms" haki, I think sanji could also unknowingly be using it. But that fire seems to be real but importantly it PASSES THROUGH and if you're caught up to the manga then you should know why that's important. Head Canon I know but it makes sense

2021-03-09 04:20:48 +0000 UTCIf you look back in Water 7 when the strawhats raided the Franky House, Luffy uses Gomu Gomu no Cannon, where builds up heat with air friction on his arms before basically doing a Bazooka with his heated hands. (Episode 234) I feel like Red Hawk is in the same vein as this ability that they established back then.
