There is a man like Kurapika in Togashi's manga(yuyu-haksyo) . the characters from Meteor Street are the Zoldyck family butler girl(kanaria) and maybe Kirua's mother. This is not a spoiler. It was told in the past recollections of Zoldyck ark. I think Kirua's mother was written in a character introduction book.

Kurapika was purposefully designed a little feminine/androgynous! In the 1999 anime adaptation, characters mistake him as a girl more than once. I'm not sure why but HXH has lots of characters that present their gender differently from biological sex- for example, Melody, who seemed to be male in the beginning, and other characters in future arcs. I personally think it's nice that they're designed like that for no reason in particular. Anyways don't let character design fool you and keep an open mind LMAO that's all I gotta say

Kurapika refers to himself as a dude, Kurapika is referred to by others as a dude, we've told you it's a dude. The voice actor is a girl, just like Luffy, Goku, Killua, Gon, Armin, Chopper, Naruto, and many others. It's a common thing that girls voice young guys. I promise we not fuckin with you lmao

lol I think part of why it's hard for him to believe that Kurapika is a man, is because they really just gave him a voice actress who doesn't have the capacity to make her voice sound male like Luffy's, for example.
