Ok I looked it up, Its a Pun, the technique is called Hierro Lágrima: Mekujira. Mekujira refers to the corner of the eye, but if you read each kanji separately you get eye whale. So literally she can only do that attack because its a Pun.

It’s been said, she has a fruit called the Glare-Glare Fruit (whatever that means to you🤷🏾‍♂️). If anything, the whale tears are the weird part of the fruit, not the mind stuff (at this point in the series). In summary, Violet’s fruit is VERY weird (as of what we’ve seen in this ep)
