Sorry for a late and *very long* comment but I'm catching up and I just wanna share my experience at TJPW's Grand Princess event in March when I wanted to see wrestling in Japan. Probably the best wrestling show I've been to! A real thrilling variety of comedy brawls and solid technical wrestling. The crowd went totally silent at the start of the main event out of pure anticipation, just incredibly surreal and exciting. They had their own "wrestlecon" at another venue the next day, free for anyone to come in. 2000 yen each (about 12 pounds) to get a photo and an autograph from basically everyone on the card. World class talent like Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki, and Maki Itoh. Was a bit chaotic so I missed photo ops while I was in line for someone else and being painfully white meant I had to tell wrestler that no, I can't actually make it to LA in April. Australia to Japan is a much cheaper trip! Would have loved to be at this though, glad you guys enjoyed it! I imagine it's a hard sell if you're not super knowledgeable about Japan's various subcultures
