WRESTLE ME! LIVE AND TOO HOT* FOR TV 2024

*By 'too hot', we mean 'zero interest'.

Hola! It's the most wonderful time of year again as Wrestle Me! makes its annual live pilgrimage to the London Podcast Festival!

It's 1.30pm on Sunday the 8th September, which Kendo Nagasaki informs us is astrologically the best point in the year to put on live improvised wrestling chat podcasts.

I think this is the sixth year, and hopefully the second where Jameela Jamil's show is booked round about the same time as us, and her guests (who are treating the Green Room like they own it) can glance Pete and I flitting through while we're in home-made costumes and look openly disgusted.

We've said we're doing UK RAMPAGE 1991 - one of the classic early video tapes that everyone owned in the 1990s - but who knows? I had to put something in, chose that, and I feel good about it.

We've had to come to a compromise with the venue - they've got rising costs, but we want our tickets to be priced as low as possible. This means they're £16, which this is the lowest they can do. That, however means there's no Patreon discount (which I don't think they let us have last year for the same reason) so instead we'll work out some sort of merch discount card for the PPs coming along. Annoyingly, there's a button reading 'PROMO CODE' on the website, but there isn't a promo, which makes it look like we've got a promo code but just aren't telling you about it.

But on the big plus side, we've also had the venue move the other shows at the Podcast Festival around us, so that we can finish at 2.30pm - and then head over to Camden (a bus ride from right outside or two tube stops) to go and watch Pro Wrestling NOAH live at the Electric Ballroom at 3pm.

NOAH have very much not had the same "for-the-fans" ticket pricing battles we have, as they're more expensive than you'd hope. But it'll be a chance to see some huge Japanese stars who don't come to the UK at all, there's two bars inside, you can see the ring from there, and we can all have a right old drink-up and chat-a-rang. We've got standing tickets, we're not Elon Musk.

We wanted to make it a proper day out for anyone coming down to London from a bit further afield, and still ensure you can get home easily afterwards - and not even that late (I'm a huge fan of wrestling shows in the afternoon).

How nice to celebrate wrestling by actually going to the wrestling (although it's entirely optional, you can just come and see us, we're not going to force you to come to Camden afterwards).

The pre-sale tickets for Wrestle Me! live are available here! YESSSSSS!

Booked. Haven't told my wife yet that's she's coming as well so I might have a spare ticket closer to the show depending on how that conversation goes...
