2024-06-10 19:04:50 +0000 UTCA lot of the PRIDE folks did some crossover wrestling work back in the day - Kevin Randleman, Mark Coleman, Don Frye, Mirko Cro Cop and Bob Sapp was even IWGP champion at one point - dabbling as a way to get a pay day. PRIDE really straddled the world of MMA and entertainment and various fighters did their best to take advantage of the kakutogi boom. You would probably have been looking at Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira as heavy weight champ and his fighting style wouldn't have been the most thrilling for the uninitiated to watch. It makes me wonder which organisation at the time would have got the bigger rub from co-promoting?
