I met Marty Jannety in a Torquay hotel in the early 00’s. We were staying there for my grandparents golden wedding. After dinner me, my sister and her husband were sat in the bar. In walked as large group of American men. They sat at a different table downing JD and coke like they were water. I said to my sister I recognise one of those guys. We got talking and I asked him if he was one of the rockers he confirmed he was Marty Jannety and proved it by pulling his passport out of his bum bag. We spent the rest of the night drinking with them and asking what all of the 90’s wrestlers were like. All I can remember was him telling me The Undertaker was cool and Warrior was a prick. He also managed to fix my brother in laws long standing neck pain. On discovering he was in pain party Marty got up, took my worried looking brother in laws head in his meaty hands and clicked it from side to side. After initially looking petrified the relived when he realised he was still alive he confirmed his neck felt much better. To this day he has never had any neck problems. The next morning it was a sobering sight to see a group of burly American men squeezed into a mini bus like a pack of circus bears being shipped off to the next seaside town.

2024-10-29 16:35:45 +0000 UTCI didn't see Rampage live but I did see Battle Royale at the Royal Albert Hall with my Gran best match of the evening was Ric Flair Vs Tito Santana as Flair literally is on Video When my gran was called out he was cheating and Ric Jumped through the ropes shouting "You Shut Your Mouth" also seeing Andre the giant it was pretty staggering how big he was like the back end of a Shire Horse. Also had a ouch botch with Davy Boy almost knocking his front teeth out in a match with the Barbarian it's a great event as I did have the money for the Summer Slam 92 though the size of the venue can really effect the enjoyment I find if it's a crowd over 500 of the 30+ live wrestling I've seen in the past 43 years most of the memories I have are the smaller venues as you don't get so much sound and can hear the wrestlers, also the heckles are funnier.
