Bum Dugley's been at the wires: Summerslam 1998 Part 1!
Added 2025-03-06 15:09:08 +0000 UTCAfternoon all! After starting this week's show talking about how relaxed we are about technical misfiring/corpses in phonebooths, we had a cataclysmic example of the former! This meant that Pete had to rather forensically cut up and layer some backup audio over some warped and weft-ed internet audio, the net result being that he's now very sad about how poor he is at this talking lark. Hope you're happy, Cleanfeed!
At least we got an excellent dose of information about Esso garages and their many awnings.
And here's the Sunday Night Heat pre-show we're banging on about in Not HD.

PS: Thanks to Kintaro Ooe for pointing out a 30 second bit of silence in the middle which has now been removed. It was in tribute to the troops, you disgust us KO

When I went to the Leigh Bowery retrospective (which is fantastic btw) I definitely saw some luchador influence in there

2025-03-10 16:54:12 +0000 UTCI once explained the links back to both Bowery and the later but still relevant in the conversation Club Kids that tie clearly to goldust. Iconography as excessively theatrical but challenging the status quo via exuberance is a very American contradiction. Needless to say, there wasn’t a second date
