I think there are levels or like qualities to certain blades in one piece. So I'm just assuming the seppuku blade was like high quality since its ceremonial or some shit. Purple shit was prob just haki

Btw, many scenes on this eiposde are filler like zoro using haki on the seppuku knife. Wano arc pacing is as slow as wci and dressrossa but at least the animation is better though.
