about the teeth coming back, oda was asked in a sbs about luffy growing back his teeth during wholecake. oda stated that all straw hats can drink milk and regrow teeth. also jack is a fishman so maybe like arlong he can grow a new set.

The tengai is commonly seen being worn not by Samurai but by the Komusō or wandering monks of the Fuke sect of Zen Buddhism, who played the shakuhachi. I can see why people are enthralled when they see it used in movies or anime. Another purpose it served was for the monk to remain incognito. In Komamura and Law's case it's serving it's purpose. I tried one of these on, just say goodbye to your peripheral vision. While fighting they can become jostled and further ruin visibility. That's why they would only be a hindrance in a fight.
