Its just unlucky you happened to talk through the few scenes where it was being made obvious what was going on so it was hard to latch onto the thread. Light forced a situation in which Misa would be caught. L was going to prove the 13 day rule to be fake, which would have blown open all reasons to suspect Light and Misa again. Light knew Rem would protect Misa... Remi killed L to protect Misa but in doing so cost Rem its own life. Light literally took out L and killed a God of Death in one go... Man is savage
