2022-08-31 21:23:05 +0000 UTCIts even more confusing in the manga where everything is black and white. Oda is not very consistent with the Haki stuff the same way Hunter x Hunter is with Nen. At least the anime shows different colors sometimes I guess.

2022-08-31 17:39:51 +0000 UTCI could be wrong, but I feel like Ryuo and even haki in general is just not showcased consistently. Like the black lightning, which as far as I know is supposed to show conqueror's haki, but is used, atleast in the anime, on clashes without conqueror's aswell. And isn't Ryuo just the Wano name for haki in general, but at the same time it's, how Luffy uses it, supposed to be advanced armament haki? It is unnecessary confusing. But I'd guess after mastering it Luffy always uses "Ryuo" even if it's not shown with that ugly glow around his fist. Btw later this "Ryuo glow" is at times also missing, even though Luffy uses strong attacks. So it either makes no sense or it is just inconsistently presented imo.
