Subscription Billing - New Patrons
Added 2022-10-04 08:56:17 +0000 UTCPatreon has finally sorted there stuff and billing is now done from the point you join rather than the first of the month, if you are already a patron this won't affect you and will still be billed on the 1st of each month.
New patrons will be a monthly cycle from the day you joined!
The problem was is most people get paid towards the end of the month (let's say 29th) subscribe and then have to pay AGAIN on the 1st.
That's all stopped now and makes so much more sense.
Quick little update and to say that is live!

I could see if you're supporting a bunch of people that this could be a bad thing for book keeping purposes but for the average user I think it's a big improvement. Onlyfans does it and I really like it, especially if you only intend to support someone for a month or are just trying them out because no matter when you sign on, you're always getting a full month's worth of content

2022-10-04 22:18:38 +0000 UTCCurrent patrons will be unaffected by this it is only the new ones, and if they are really adamant they want bills at the same time, then they can sub on there payday.

2022-10-04 14:50:46 +0000 UTCI'm glad to see I'm not the only one who dislikes this. I really wish the choice was left up to the subscriber. I'd much rather get one big bill at the start of each month than a bunch of small ones throughout the month. Makes it SO much easier to keep track of how much you're spending.

2022-10-04 14:30:16 +0000 UTCFrankly I hate this method! Subscribestar bills from the join anniversary and what totally sucks is the 20 or so individual small charges each month and the days they charge each month is not always the anniversary date. One month it may be the 3rd, next the 2nd, next the 30th of the prior month. It's a total fucking pain in the ass to keep track of. Doesn't affect me now but will in the future. I only hope Patreon doesn't do the same as substar. With Patreon I also just waited till the start of the next month to support a new creator.
