Feature Animation DEV - Planning

Greetings fappers and friends and welcome to the first part of the feature animation stage in the creation of an animation commission, and boy does it feel good to be back doing these again. 

Like any project you need to have a base plan of what needs to be done and when it needs to be done by, also questions like technical aspects need to be addressed.

First question - What am I making? (and the answer just isn't simply porn.)

I am making a 1-2 minute animation featuring 3 characters: Jinx, Mercy, POV male (Richard). Jinx is the main focus at the end of the bed with a majority of BJ movements including hands, Mercy is secondary laying at POV males side looking sexy with secondary movements/assisting Jinx.

There will be a 360 rendered video and also a cinematic camera which will find the best angles. 

Second question, What possible problems will I face?

From the outset there are no major worries apart from potential technical issues with motion capture teething, or problems rendering in a VR format.  

There are 2 lots of render times in this animation so have to consider buying a render PC at suitable spec, this means building and setting up a new PC which will also take time. 

Third question, When do you want this completed by?

Deadlines is something I need to hammer into my skull and really push to meet them, good practices and streamlined working is more essential than every before. 

I also have to take into account personal time and image commission creations. 

Motion capture testing/refining/learning - 3 Days

Jinx + Mercy Models updating & rigging - 5 Days

Story board + Camera angles - 2 Days

Dope sheet and script creation - 1 Day

Actor practising in suit + technical issues - 1 Day

Base environment BSP - 1 Day 

Rough animation pass - 2 Days

Motion capture cleanup - 4 Days

Secondary detail pass - 6/10 Days

Render Time - Unknown - expected between 4-10 days

Rough estimate for animation completion end of Mid to late July if commissions + community images divert attention.

Conclusion

I am sure there are things that have been missed but its a greats start to see where I should be and when I should be there by, mini milestones and goals to achieve . 

Will start with the testing of the motion capture suit and post results of findings.
