this is super old so you probably wont see this. that scene was different in the light novel slightly so they show kind of missed part of that. Sauros was saying that he doesnt know what it is and theres nothing he can do to affect whether its good or bad so he chooses to believe its good, because otherwise he will just worry himself to death. the show was good but left out a little bit of dialog that clears that scene up.
