It would be very hard to create theories if you don't know the story very well. I have watched OP a few times and I learned new things every single time.

2023-07-03 20:27:29 +0000 UTCI'm good with doing this over Discord, there's no problem there, at least you don't have to drive back and forth for this project. Lycan is the better reader but I don't have any issue with Amenz' reading, so taking turns is also fine with me. One big thing you'll need to figure out is how to show both pages at once. As you've already seen, Oda loves doing a 2/3rd page spread, or sometimes 3 1/3rd page spreads. And that's going to be rough if you're just splitting the two pages in half. The formatting is interesting, but it'll be a little bit of a challenge to figure out how to solve it. And it's already been mentioned, but if you put more than, say, one panel on screen per video, Shueisha/Shonen Jump is going to eat your channel for breakfast, and even that's risky. I'd suggest just stripping the manga out of the video, and just have the page number on screen so the ones on Youtube can follow along while you're discussing it. Just don't show the manga and you should be able to escape being slammed with copyright strikes. I'm all for this manga journey. Remember that cover story arcs are canon, cover story picture requests ("Luffy feeding a panda some meat", for example) are not, and SBS questions and answers are both jokes and canon at the same time. I don't know how that works, it just is.

If you guys are looking for more one piece content you should go through the cover stories it's where a lot of theories come from cause it's oda showing us different parts of the world for different characters perspectives. The cover stories are 1 page at the beginning of a set of chapters throughout the series, they're kind of awkward to go back and find to read but luckily there are youtube videos that have put them all together so it reads more like a regular chapter. You will recognize the first few cover stories because they were animated however a vast majority of them weren't.

For Lycan that loves world building, you miss a lot of the extra little things being an anime only watcher. Things like what happened with CP9 after their defeat at Enies Lobby. Or the happenings of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet with Bartolomeo and Cavendish that was established after Dressrosa. There isn't *a lot* of details, but it is extra backstory and it is all canon.

This cover story is about Germa's battle/escape immediately after the Strawhat's escape. Sanji's brothers were captured and placed in the book jail Luffy was held in. I suggest reading Enel's cover story for more lore

2023-07-01 22:53:03 +0000 UTCJust as a warning, Shueisha and Jump tend to be *VERY* protective over the manga. That is to say, showing manga panels on places like youtube is a crazy dangerous game. Most workarounds I've seen involve heavily obscuring them while also making them very small, or not showing them at all. Others will do it live, and put live chat on screen instead of having manga panels, while playing some non-copyright bgm. That way it feels kinda like a club read-along. I don't really know how/if that can really translate to the format that your channel does, nor do I have any alternate solutions in mind, but at the very least I felt the need to warn you guys.
