She's not poisoning the bison guys. *I also think the reason the painted lady shows up at the end is because nature was so distorted she didn't have the power. Might also be tied to belief in a deity like American God's where belief is power. Like the village didn't have any painted lady stuff until after Katara started doing shit so they fell back on the lore.

2023-07-07 22:10:55 +0000 UTCNah I think this episode did more to humanize the fire nation. The normal citizens aren't about conquering another land, they are just trying to survive. It's also a glimpse of how the fire nation saying they are doing this for people's benefit is just an excuse because they aren't helping their own people. Reminds me of the US in alot of ways.
