When he was rescued by Aang, he came out of the spirit world having to use the bathroom because he couldnβt find one in there.

They've been best friends for a long time. But seeing Roku on the ground, grasping for air, Sozin's mind switched to logic. The man who previously seemed unbeatable, the man who completely thrashed him 25 years prior with ease, the man who stopped his nation from expanding, is now on the ground begging for his life. Logically, this is the best time to get rid of him.
