It definitely was a sad episode for Komomura. He's confined to his dog form forever. Unable to revert back. He can no longer communicate with anyone other than his fellows clans members. Props to Ibe. He might be one of the lesser known lieutenants but seeing him carry his captain off was heartbreaking. Ibe even told that π€‘ Ikkaku not hide his true power when fighting a strong opponent during the Karakuri Invasion Arc. Ikkaku appears to be making the same mistake. Even after receiving the countermeasure to protect his bankai from getting stolen he continues to limit himself only to his shikai. He deserved that ass whooping.
