In the Funimation anime subs (and Viz too, I believe) he says "crap" a lot. Crappy this, crap that. In Little Garden, when he answered the snail phone when Crocodile called, he answered "This is the Crappy Restaurant." It's his gimmick, and I bet that's something you never really noticed. Poison Gomu Gomus: Notice that Oda answered that Gomu Gomuns tend to give out "ridiculous" answers. And then the reveal of the Nika fruit being the most ridiculous power in the world. Oda's crazy like that.
