I can explain some of the birthday puns. Luffy's birthday is 5/5. This one is simple as it's a japanese holiday, Children's Day. Nami's birthday is 7/3. 7 and 3 can be read as "na"-"mi." Sanji's birthday is 3/2. Just like Nami, this can be read as "san"-"ji." Zoro's birthday is 11/11. Repeated numbers like this is known as "zorome" in Japanese. Usopp's birthday is 4/1. You figured this out so I'll skip that one!
