In the central chamber of the sacred dungeon inside the temple of The Blood Mother, a creature that commands the whole colony of Hemogoblin resides, the blood-seekers refer to it as The Queen of Heart. Although some researchers argue that it should be classified as different species or subspecies due to the major difference in their physiology and morphology, some agreed that it serves a similar role as an insect’s queen.
Unlike the hemogoblin drone which technically a siphonophore, which means each creature is made of several organisms that mostly function as one individual and can’t survive by themself, at least not for a prolonged time. Queen of Heart is a single ooze with a massively enlarged nucleus that functions mostly as a reproduction organ. Its massive nucleus makes it unable to move freely and become more vulnerable. But in return, it can reproduce asexually to produce a large number of hemogoblin drones that serve as its soldiers and caretakers. It doesn’t have an advanced intelligence by itself, but it and all of its drones share a connected sense and formed a powerful collective intelligence that allows them to learn and act as if they have the same level of intelligence as human.
accidentally both this prompt sit right after Blood, and I just expand on the 'Queen of heart' mentioned in previous Hemogoblin page~
