Grand Archive - 2021

Greetings~

First thing first, Happy New Year!

I'm sure 2020 has been quite rough for everyone. I really appreciate your support that has been helping me survive this year as well. Being able to create my own idea really helps me mentally as well. It's been half a year since I start this project and I hope those 6-7 months along with artworks that I made can bring a bit of joy to 2020.

So what's for 2021? 

There is some stuff that I wanted to do this year, so I more or less want to lay out my plan.

1. Character Design

I would like to start making the character as well every now and then. My focus would still be making creatures, but perhaps every other month, I want to either make an original character based on the prompt or make your character idea just like what I did during our early months. For now, the character will still have to be in a fantasy theme, but not strictly have to be in the same setting as the creatures and the archive. But, recently in the discord server, we have been talking about making characters that actually working or have a role in the Archive either as a staff member or visiting adventurer or something else.

2. Livestream and Discord Event

This is something that I wanted to do last year, but due to my potato PC, live stream activity on twitch has been halted for quite a while. But, since I'm planning to upgrade (or more precisely, rebuild) my PC, hopefully, I can start doing that again in a couple of months. In addition to that, I really want to make some discord event for us, I'm not sure what for now, but I do want to chat and play with you more.

3. The South East Archipelago Branch

Some of my local friends saw our previous creatures preview and expressed their interest to see the full pages, but unfortunately due to some technical difficulty and the fact that PayPal and credit cards aren't something that we all have here, it is difficult to do that. Because of that, I want to make an extension of Patreon in a local platform called Karyakarsa. The tier and rewards there are limited to just Explorer, Adventurer, and Researcher. But the benefit of suggesting and voting for the next prompt as well as some other bonus artwork and other upper-tier benefits will still exclusive for Patreon Patron.

4. Finishing "2020 Trial of Ink" and "Swordtember" artbook

This is something that I've been wanting to do for the last couple of months, but I will start the process this year. The trial of Ink still needs additional pages for each creature (1-2 pages each) while swordtember still needs flavor text pages for each of them and a couple of artworks to complete the 'exhibition catalog' feel. I'm going to research a way to print a physical book, but judging from my experience, it'll be rather

4. Kickstarter project with Mythopoeia

Although it's not exactly for what we did in the Archive, me and my friend as an artist circle 'Kroma', are planning to launch a KS project to produce some of our Artbooks. Please look forward to further detail about that~!

5. Comic series...?

Although this is still something that needs a long and difficult process and planning I still want to put it here to both remind and motivate myself. I do have a plan to eventually make a comic series which will take place in the Archive setting and feature both character and creatures we made so far. But, it'll be quite sometime later.
