2022-10-18 19:26:06 +0000 UTCRegarding the Walder Frey and Edmure Tully backstory: Edmure Tully is the younger brother of Catelyn Stark, their ancestral home is Riverrun. If you remember at the Red Wedding, Robb Stark married Talisa instead of Walder Frey's daughter therefore Edmure married Frey's daughter instead as a substitute. Obviously Frey didn't like this and was slighted which was why Robb and Catelyn were killed. After the Starks were killed, the Crown allowed the Frey's to become Lords of Rivverun rather than the Tully's. The Tully's who survived the Red Wedding, Blackfish (Brynden Tully, Catelyn, Edmure's and Lysa's uncle) and Edmure Tully lost Riverrun. After the Red Wedding, the Frey's held Edmure captive but Blackfish managed to escape. Frey didn't keep watch on Blackfish however and he has since managed to gain control again of Riverrun. With Edmure still held captive by the Frey's since the Red Wedding, they're going to use him as a hostage and bargaining chip to seize Riverrun back. The next scene with Cersei and Jaime then shows that Walder Frey has requested Jaime and the Lannister army to help take back Riverrun again. I think that's all the details. I hope this clears it up!
