Spiders are a more common fear in society so in theory it should be stronger but in the Chainsaw Universe they Gun Devil slaughtered millions of people multiple times which raised the fear of guns to an all time high and made it the strongest devil. Also, Japan has very strict gun laws so in the case of Japan, the fear of guns makes sense.

Like "how am I going to pay rent next month", "will my loved one be able to overcome this illness", "I hope I made the right choice" Just general fear of not knowing what the future holds in store for you or people you care about. Also you mentioned that you did not think people would be afraid of "eternity" like spiders and stuff but the idea of somthing lasting forever can be really scary. Feeling hungry, forever, feeling pain forever, being trapped forever. I assume a lot of people have something in their life were they feel stuck and dont see an end to what they are going through.
