Mainly because it just feels so childish a lot of the time since it was a Nickelodeon cartoon lol. Avatar is a hosted kids show for story but not for adults who have never seen it before

2023-01-17 23:15:29 +0000 UTCI began watching Avatar for the first time at 21. The story along with how martial arts was incorporated into each of the bending styles cemented the series for me. I also like that they presented us a myriad of well written mainstay and one-off side characters.

Don't give up on this one even if it seems slow at first. There's a reason why this has such a big fan base. Please keep watching just like you did OP.
