I don't see Roxy as a child, so I'd rather call him a lolicon as he likes her because she is loli, he even said it in episode 1. But you call him whatever you want, he did a terrible move.

He got his comeuppance immediately, showing us Eris can and will fuck him up because she is strong (compared to him). IIRC in the books it's told that his childlike brain mostly influences his decisions, even if he sometimes draws from his former life experiences. So the childlike stuff he does is because he is a child, mostly. That said, he is still a scumbag. At least that leaves room for character development, lol.
