July 2023 - Atompunx Assets & State of the Patreon

Hello true believers!

I started drawing Atompunx stuff last July (starting with the 10mm pistol) and never stopped. I started the Patreon in October of 2022, and have been proud to see it come along in the last 8 months or so. I am incredibly excited to see where the next year takes us!

I have hired on an official Dungeondraft person. Violet hails from Australia, and has a keen interest in organizational structure, which will be handy indeed! Expect all the Dungeondraft packs moving forward to have a much more refined touch. Speaking of refined touch, we also now have a change log and asset list! You can now see a complete tally of the assets as the list grows every month. This means we've restructured the assets, consolidated the nascent Cattlepunx with Atompunx and have re-ordered the tag formatting. This version of LORE assets will be incompatible with maps made with previous versions, but I anticipate this will be the last time there will be a backwards compatibility issue.

We had a mapmaking contest on the LORE Discord community (https://discord.gg/lorexplorers) for "Best Raider Base" community member Starbuck won, with a pretty badass converted stadium map. He's getting a custom drawn and animated token/asset for his collection as a prize. This month's theme is "Super Duper Mart", swing by the disco and submit your entry to win the July contest!

Finally, all good things must come to an end. I will be sunsetting the Atompunx range come the end of August. It was always meant to be a testbed of sorts, and now that I've got my head around the nerd cartography, it's time to move onto a new genre officially. Two more months to round out the Atompunx range, and then I'll be moving onto Grim Dorx 50,000 (a similar but legally distinct setting to Warhammer 40k) with all the lessons learned and a standardized methodology from the start.

All of that to say, what a year of doodles its been! I never anticipated that my frustration with the lack of non-fantasy assets and a bit of persistent drawing would have lead to the birth of such a vibrant and fun community. Thanks for taking me along on this ride, I couldn't do it without your support!
