Sammi gave birth!

If you had seen some of our previous videos of our new rescues. Cindy (who got renamed Sammi by a generous donor) Arrived at our sanctuary a few weeks ago. And upon her first vet appointment with us, it was revealed that she was pregnant!

Today she gave birth to her first baby at 1:15am. You guys are the first to know.

She is the first time mother. So we have all the supplies on hand in case she doesn't take care of them. But so far she is doing really good and I'm really proud of her.

When she came to us pregnant, something that happened well over a month before arriving to us. She was way too far along for abortion to be an option. It had also revealed that the father of her babies is also her sibling... Definitely not ideal and this could unfortunately lead to some health issues in the pups. So we all just need to be prepared that it is possible they could not make it if they do have serious health problems.

All we can do is hope for the best!
