2023-01-03 13:59:17 +0000 UTCI'm still watching the earlier episodes so idk if your opinion on Yurim changed by the end but since I cant comment on single episodes I will leave my thoughts here if that's ok :) I think the main motive why Yurim is struggling so much to like Heedo is because she sees her as a threat and a rival in sports rather than a friend, at least that's how she wants to see her, because it's easier to beat an opponent that you dont like and care for than a friend. She wants to provide for her family, is ashamed that her parents sacrificed a lot for her career and is afraid that someone like Heedo might take her spot before she gets enough medals and prize money out of her career to support her family. I think that's a very common way for athletes to think and that's why it's really rare to see close friendships between high level athletes who compete against each other.
