I won't lie to you, I had a rough time with this one. To be honest my experience with it could be a result of several different things but I still saw a dwagon so that was nice! Let me know what you thought about this one. I personally felt like I had more fun with the first movie BUT I did also watch that on the weekend and not on the worst day of the week cough MONDAY.
Anyways, hope you enjoy and we have one more to go!

You should really check your memory xD But what is your source for "the barrel scene"? because they very much DO RIDE BARRELS down the river in the book, end of chapter 9 and start of 10...the whole orc chase there is not in the book though. The book is after all not very long and since this is a trilogy they took the book as a baseline and had to flesh out the story, adding details, trying to connect it with LoTR (gandalf/galadriel/sauron-sidequest). I do understand the Tauriel/Kili thing is weird...but I suspect its mostly so audience establish a deeper connection to him because of what happens later, so it would feel more impactful

2025-02-13 09:56:41 +0000 UTCWhat I loved in the extended cut is that when Gandalf is escaping Dol Guldur, he actually finds Thráin, Thorin's father who was missing/presumed dead but actually captured and trapped there. Gandalf speaks to him and tell him about his son but i don't remember what happens to him afterward. I do remember the extended cuts adding a lot of cool things. I remember at the end in the theater I told my dad "I won't watch the next one ever" because of how it ended. That "I am death" really hits hard tho
