First Time Watching: Nosferatu (2024) - Full Length Reaction

Well this one was... interesting (If a scene is blurred it's because of nudity and idk how much Patreon rocks and rolls with that)

What were your thoughts on this movie? And did you see it in theaters? Was it scarier in that setting? I fear I would have been staring down at my popcorn for most of this movie if I had watched this in theaters

Overall, I can see the appeal and why so many people are loving this movie. But I can also see why people like me should just stay in their lane haha

there's a video game series called Plague Tale that i feel you should play or at least know of, this movie really reminds me of it. great story

Thinking back on it now, I do agree with you about the lacking tension. When I knew something was about to jump out, I felt a shift because they were then building the tension to lead up to the jump scare but there were a lot of moments where I was sitting there rather comfortably which says a lot. Have you seen the original? If so, do you think that one did better with the things you thought were a bit weaker in this one?

I feel like the movie lacked any tension (outside of waiting for jump scares). There was no tension during the climax, at no point did I care if a character was going to make it. The only time I felt anything was hearing and seeing what happened to the daughters. I think this movie could have benefited from stronger actors, the only time I felt like someone was acting was when Anna fell ill or when Knock was on screen. I did love the slow long shots, but each location didn't feel unique, so the long shots all felt similar and overdone after the third time. Just my 2 after seeing this for the first time.
