Glass Kanin Doodles

Hey guys! While I'm on break between books, I thought it would be fun to upload some doodles I've done over the last year as I worked on this series. Nothing here will be spoilers for book 2, all book 1 characters and art. 

FAIR WARNING: I am not an artist, so you can expect the quality of art to reflect that lol. Who knows, maybe next book I'll have commissioned some prettier character art for you all, haha.

This was the first Glass Kanin doodle I did. Kanin in his stand in Trenevalt's cabin. He has no idea what adventures (and horrors) are in store for him haha

This picture is probably familiar by now since I use it as my profile pic in a lot of places lol. Many readers had trouble picturing how Kanin was able to balance on 4 glass legs, so this doodle tried to illustrate it. I basically imagined him "pinching" himself with the pieces of glass, sort of a mixture of balancing on them, and them holding him upright. I pretty much made up all the reflection colors and hoped it worked to look like glass lol. 

Made this one to illustrate his joints and harness set up (although this is before he added the "seatbelt" to keep him from rolling out). It's a bit awkward and gangly, but it gets the point across. 

Hey, it's that guy! I drew Zyneth with about 6 different hair styles because I don't know how to draw hair. This is a reoccurring theme you will find with my doodles lol. Also, if the character art isn't really what you pictured for the characters, that's totally fine! None of these doodles came out exactly how I imagined the characters, anyway. 

I told you I suck at hair. 

"And then I pounced on the cat familiar in a sneak attack and it poofed into a cloud of mana!"

Rezira supportively listened to all of Noli's regaling of her adventure, but is secretly internally horrified. 

Much happier with this version of Noli.
