I was not expecting the ending either. But i was trying to imagine being in the shoes of Yi heon of all the trauma he got from years of being bullied, abused and neglected. It would be extremely hard for him to live normally with PTSD in his own body after deuk pal left. Because deuk pal created great memories and experiences in yi heon’s body that yi heon wouldn’t be able to connect with since it wasn’t him creating and experiencing them in real time. Like Idk how to explain it. Plus, imagine him going back to school in his own body with the way his personality truly is. His classmates would probably not associate with him due to him being suddenly quiet, awkward and shy. Whereas, deuk pal was open, friendly and confident. Also, deuk pal has fighting skills and athleticism that yi heon more than likely doesn’t have. So i wonder how that would be explained to the other students.
