The first Sims game?

What was the first Sims game that you ever played?

For me, it was The Sims 2, then I tried The Sims 1 as well and since then I played all future releases.

It's the only game that I play nowadays, it's relaxing, allows you to be creative and it's fun!

That’s such an interesting story! I used to play Sim City as well! It was so much fun, when I discovered sims tho, I couldn’t get enough. It’s such a great stress reliever! ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for sharing this, it feels like a journey 💗💗

Bit late to the party in this post! I started playing Sim City on the old Super Nintendo in the early 90's. In 2003 my husband showed interest in The Sims Double Deluxe that had just been released so I bought him it for his birthday. He couldn't work out how to build so I took over and showed him, he never got control back haha! Then I started searching the internet and found CC. I'd only been playing a few months when Sims4 was released and my mind was blown. But I didn't like the toddler outfits so I started recolouring my own. Same with the nurseries, so I started recolouring those too, and then maternity wear (with the help of a mod). Sims3 came out and I loved that too. I had my own baby in 2013 and she was 12 weeks premature so that took up all of my time. I played the Sims 4 on the day of release but base game, the mess it was, put me off. Didn't pick it up again till Christmas 2018, I saw a video on Youtube (may have been lilsimsie) and it peaked my interest. All the packs were on sale and I could do bundles, so I bought them all. I have recoloured a few toddler clothes again but I'm having far too much fun playing to make anymore, besides there are so many talented creators out there now. Sooo that was a long story!

That’s for sure! I don’t think I could have played the game without the mods. It adds so much to it 💖💖💖

Sims 1, been playing since my son was a baby. He's about to turn 22,, more than half of my life. I do enjoy playing Sims 4, but the modding community is what gives me the most pleasure from playing. Without all the work and effort that everyone adds to the game I don't think it would have continued to be the success it is.

Lol, I know! I miss the open world as well! <3

Sims 3. I always wanted to play sims 2 but didn't realise (naive more like it) that you needed the base game for all the packs to work. Could never work out why anything I installed like Sims 2 university etc would never load. When they announced Sims 3, I had a voucher from a magazine for a discount and purchased it. I was hopeless with keeping up with the expansions, and now transitioned to Sims 4 owning everything single expansion/packs and wishing for things sims 3 had to be transitioned to 4 - I miss the open-world and being able to customize everything

Sims 1 is such a classic, had so much fun playing it when I was a child 😊❤️

I never imagined I would be so invested in this game, but it’s such a great stress reliever ❤️❤️

Madlen

That’s cool too! I still think that TS4 is an amazing game, in spite of critics it may have sometimes 😊❤️

Making magic was so fun! One of my fave S1 expansion 😁 Thanks for sharing your experience ❤️

The Sims 1: I've been onboard since Day 1 and played it everyday while deployed to Diego Garcia that Spring/Summer. Ho-Hum...

I'm a noob. I started playing The Sims 4 in 2018 and never played before that. 🥺

I played 1 first. I remember my parents only letting me get unleashed and living large. I had a friends friend selling making magic at a yard sale and my parents told me no. I was devastated 😂 Sims 2 was my game though. I played so many hours of it. I have immense love for it. Sims 3 I preordered, addiction started haha , I played and hated the way the sims looked. The sims in 2 were so beautiful and I saw them in 3 and I was like nope 😂. Came back later and fell in love with 3 as well. 3 was the first sims game where I owned all the expansions. Even Katy Perry 😂

Sims 1 way back in 2002! My friend had the game and introduced me to it and I fell in love. Been playing ever since.

My first was the sims 3, I was 10 when it came out and my parents got it for my brother and I for Christmas. It was in the Xbox though so not nearly as great lol but I had so much fun!

I totally agree with you Lina! It would be great if we could have an Open World again and maybe a color slider for some of the things at least! Thanks for the comment, it's so interesting reading all of these <3

Madlen

LoL, lucky you! Hope you enjoyed the game, TS3 was so much fun <3

Madlen

I know right, I wasn't the fan of the TS3 faces as well! <3

Madlen

I totally agree! Each of the games has its ups and downs, hope the game will continue to improve and learn from its mistakes <33 Thanks for sharing your opinion <3

Sims 3 was the first Sims game I played and it changed my life!! I’ve been loving The Sims ever since. Every once in a while, I still like to play Sims 3 and wish some game play concepts from Sims 3 were in the Sims 4, such a Open World and Create a Style, and cars.

My first game was TS2 on my cousin's PSP 😁 Then at 11 I asked my mom to buy me TS3 Showtime, thinking I'd be able to play it by myself 😂😂 Luckily my classmate was a Simmer herself and borrowed me her TS3 basegame CD along with some of her own expansion packs so I could install and play.

My first game was TS1. The only one I didn't play was TS3. Their pudding faces creeped me out lol

The first game for me was the sims 3. then before the sims 4 came out I got the ultimate collection of the sims 2 each game has its strengths and weaknesses, to be honest. Sims 3 had open-world and endless customizations options. sims 2 the game was in 3d and had in depth gameplay . Sims 4 allows to make more body types real and building is the best in all the games.
