I didnt know Sailor Moon was anime at the time. I guess if we go with that Lil Bits or Rainbow Brite movie may qualify as first (rainbow brite is pushing it but japanese animated...american movie)

2018-03-09 19:15:42 +0000 UTCI technically watched other anime before Sailor Moon (Noozles, etc.) but it was my first that I knew to be anime. My friends sometimes teased me for watching a "girl's show" but I loved it. To this day it's still one of my favorites of all time. The newer Crystal series was.....okay....but didn't nearly reach the nostalgic levels of the originals.
