Rainbow Brite Doujinshi
Added 2018-05-12 08:44:13 +0000 UTCSo I'm still working on this RB comic. I've started already with the first 3 pages. It's a fully colored comic, so it's taking me much longer than I'm use to.
Once I have a few pages stock piled and to my liking, I'm going to release them online. First here on patreon, followed by everywhere else.
I'm hoping to also post some sketches here, not available else where, such as WIP or designs. I've nearly an entire sketch book of designs from creatures, to characters, to locations. This has been in the works for some time.
I'm planning it out with the help of my husband. I have nostalgia glasses when it comes to Rainbow Brite, where as he doesnt. This allows new comings to show up and still follow along. And my knowledge allows me to keep things as canon as possible.
So far we have the premise, and the first 4 chapters planned out. Only the first two are currently written. We are going to sit down and plan the rest of the story, including ending, which we have a general idea of the conclusion.
I do have a few concerns, this is not a retelling, but in theory a continuation, in which I (we) created more lore and explanation of the role of Rainbow Brite and the Color Kids. We also changed a few things, which may upset some hard core fans. It also has quite a bit of time spent on Earth, as well as some time in Rainbow Land. All I ask is for RB nostalgia readers to keep an open mind.
The basic plot is: A young girl must reunite with the Color kids to drive the darkness from Rainbow Land, to brighten Earth again, and bring back hope.
