Well I can finally get back to working on my game!
If I didnt mention it before, I opened a discord for the game. Updates will be posted both here and there, but also a place to make more of a community around the game. https://discord.gg/WE5azhE9jB
I was going to attach the discord to patreon for special roles but last time I did that Patreon forced people into my server and I didnt want that.

Secondly, I've started editing the story. I've rewritten Chapter 2 and 3 in script format. I figured I'd take a moment to explain how much effort I put into editing my story because I really have no confidence in my writing ability.

• First I write my story as a stream of thoughts, in a novel like format.

• Next I export that as a PDF and have it read back to me so I can hear any mistakes or awkward sentences. This helps a lot being I have dyslexia, so many words are misspelled or wrong all together. (like I often write stupid instead of students)

• Then I rewrite the chapter out in script format, changing the story from 3rd person to first person.

• I go through 2-3 sentences at a time, trying to make sure I have proper punctuation, and try to write it more "show, don't tell."

• I then put those 2-3 sentences into ChatGPT and ask it to make sure its in the proper tense (not sure why I struggle with my tenses when writing). I also may ask it to rewrite a line if I feel its clunky but I just cant figure out a better way to word it.

• It gets sent off to Editor 1. When it returns I fix what they suggest, and any things they suggest for adding or removing I consider (usually I do it, but if I feel its important or works as foreshadowing I leave it in)

• After those edits, it goes to Editor 2 for the same thing, any thing missed or needed to be added.

Finally it goes into my game. I will do another reread at that point to make sure it flows with VN pacing, and edit little things to fit that better.

So quite a bit goes into editing it.

Finally something to show!
Steam has a thing called Rich Presence, which basically are little titles under the game you are playing. You can do different things with those, such as if people are playing together it can group them, or have custom sayings based on your status, so with the help of husband, we made it so it shows what chapter you are on!
