World Information by The Phoenix Scribe:
There are different types of fae.
Pixies are small assistants and magical tricksters. They can be helpful when danger is near.
Fairies are about the same size as normal humans. They have access to elemental magic, but mostly use healing magic.
When a queen comes into power, an ancient ritual is cast. This helps transform the normal fairy wings, that are round, into a queen’s wings, which are more angular. The queen of the fae has a more important role and needs a distinguishable feature so people can recognize her easily. The wings also allow her to cast magic more frequently.
When fairies fly or walk, they restore their essence, and when they run out of essence, they cannot cast magic.
