The story with the traffic jam was ok. I don´t think it´s good or bad. It´s ok, for me. But I´m glad you do like it :) But as I said in my afterthoughts, I just thought it wasn´t the "main story". That was the arc of the doctor and Martha, which I liked very much :) And I liked how she made him talk in the end. This man just doesn´t talk as much as he should. Sometimes you need to push him a little :D And I loved the kitties :)

I thought the traffic jam story was really good but hard to simply enjoy as it was such a hellish vision of the future and seeing people just accept it was at least as frustrating as it was inspiring. I did like the sense of community and the hymn singing i its way even though I'm not a religious person at all. Loved the development of the relationship between Martha and The Doctor and the way she simply makes him talk to her at the end.

There are two minutes of behind-the-scenes with the kittens on the Doctor Who Confidential - "Are We There Yet?" episode - starts at 13:29 to about 15:36 https://vimeo.com/533714081#t=13m29s Usual video link warning: I haven't watched the entire Confidential episode for spoilers so it is only safe to watch the specified kitten bit. Also, as with anything, the video page might offer you random suggestions of other video spoilers you don't want to see so avert your eyes from any of that.

Thank you for your thoughts on this episode. I did like it, although the "main story" was not really the "main story" for me :D Ohhh those kittens were sooooo cute. And I would really want to see outtakes of them trying to get those kittens to cooperate :D Their lines :D :D Oh thank you for the info about the painting. I had no idea. Learned something new today, thank you :)

I like this episode the most of the "Year Five Billion" stories. Although people are hopelessly stuck in the never ending traffic jam with everyone living their own unique lifestyles in their cramped flying cars, they still have a shared sense of community as they sing their hymns together. It's a nice piece of world building. Apparently the kittens were not the most cooperative of actors - they wouldn't look in the right direction or speak their lines at the right time. The two car occupants at the beginning who looked out of place with their old-looking clothing is a reference the 1930's "American Gothic" painting. But it's just a throw-away visual reference to the picture and doesn't mean anything deep.
