Dr. Who Series 3 - Human nature

For my money, this is far better than Blink :) And now - get ready for my favourite piece of Dr Who trivia EVER..... Harry Lloyd (who played Baines) is the great-great-great-grandson of Charles Dickens. :D (They missed a great opportunity by not giving him a role in 'The Unquiet Dead'!)

Ian Smith

Yes that sentence hurts....I´m so sorry for Martha. Compared to Roses story she really has a hard time, with the doctor. The cast is the best. I absolutely adore them all :) Thank you for the inside infos. :) And also thanks for the clarification about the Yoofo :D

Oh yes, I liked the story sooo much. And I´m looking forward to watching the second part. Maybe I´m going to watch them later today, or tomorrow. :) I really liked the "Fathers day" episode. Whatever his name is, he writes great stories :) Thank you for the tip about the Peter doctor. I will pay attention to that, when I edit it for Youtube :)

It's a really good story. I like it when Doctor's hidden heroic instincts come through when he throws the cricket ball to hit this - to knock that over - ... - to avoid the piano accident - which then gets John Smith to invite Joan to the dance. And it's a great story for Martha too. Several of the writers of the "New Adventures" books that were written in the gap after Classic Who and before New Who, were invited to write episodes for New Who. The writer who adapted his book to these Series 3 episodes had previously written "Father's Day" in Series 1. BTW: One of the pictures in the Doctor's "A Journal of Impossible Things" is a sketch of the "Peter" Doctor (the one who is in "Kinda") - although you have to be quick to spot it at the bottom of a page.

"You had to go and fall in love with a human. And it wasn't me" I still get a bit of a sting in my eyes hearing that bit. This is where the season/series gets seriously good. I absolutely love this whole story, it's one of my favourites ever. Love Martha in it too. Especially the part where she gets to slap the Doctor. Never seen another companion do that! But just generally taking on all the responsivity and having to make all the important decisions. As you said, the casting is amazing too. Baines is terrifying when he's possessed by the alien. This story is based on a novel that was written after Classic Who had been taken off the TV but before New Who had been thought of. It originally featured an earlier Doctor and was very popular with fans. Oh and the two names The Doctor gives as the names of his parents were Sydney and Verity. The names of the man who came up with the idea for the original programme and the woman who was the first producer of the show. p.s. yes we say "yoofo"
