Torchwood Season 1 Episode 6

Ok, that was a very different episode.... I didn´t expect to ever get an episode like that with this show. Bloody, spooky and very very tense. Enjoy watching. :)

I absolutely agree. This could never be a Doctor Who story. Hence why I´m happy that we have Torchwood as an addition. :) This episode felt like it was written for me. :) But I´m sorry that you didn´t enjoy it as much. It´s an interesting fact that humans are the worst monsters alive in Doctor Who and in Torchwood. This is also a topic in The Walking dead, in which people do get more dangerous than the Zombies over time. I really like when a tv show picks upt that topic. Oh they are not married? Ups, I really thought they were. Thanks for clarifying. :)

Yes it was, and I can understand if it is too much for some people. It felt like a straight up Horror movie. Haha minefield. :D That´s a very good way to describe this situation :D I do appreciate you beeing so mindful :) I agree with you on the fact that the Torchwood Team is so small and that each member needs someone to talk to. I really do. I just don´t see how that has to lead to an affair with that very person. I mean she could talk to him if he was a friend. That´s what I meant when I said "This justification is just an excuse". But I absolute get that they have to talk to someone. It´s just to hard to take, without sharing it.

You wouldn't see this story in Doctor Who! Horror is not really my genre. But I had a feeling that the episode might appeal to you. I remember being a bit disappointed that there was no alien cause in the story resolution - but as the Doctor said "Run and hide, because the monsters are coming - the human race." It's interesting to get a tiny glimpse of Jack's backstory. Gwen and Rhys are not married - they live together. But the lack of faithfulness still applies. The background music that is played when Jack crashes through the wall was created by the composer to the words of "here he comes in a ruddy-great tractor".

It is a very intense episode. Almost too intense for me. It may sound impossible but somehow I always manage to forget about it until I watch a reaction online. Maybe I blot it out because it's so horrifying in so many ways. I want to say all sorts of things about the character development but I don't think I can negotiate that minefield without spoiling anything. I will say that the Torchwood team is so small and working in such weird and extreme situations that I can well imagine a team member feeling that nobody outside of it can really know them like somebody inside can. I think that sentence got away from me. ;)
