Oh really. That´s a surprise, but I get where you´re coming from. :) I´m really looking forward to this new doctor. But I´m am still way too attached to David. I am still missing him soooo much. But I´ll keep an open mind for the new doctor as well :)

Nicologik

Thank you for telling me. Yes he looks really young. :)

Nicologik

I don´t have any regrets about thinking that. :) I think it´s funny to look back at my older reactions and compare my opinions to mine nowadays. It´s always interesting and I think especially for this big character it´s so surprising to me how it turned out in the end :D Yes I agree. He really improved over time. He grew into the role. :)

Nicologik

Ohhh thank you for clarifying. :) I really thought that was the guy from Torchwood. Upsi.....I know who you are talking about. Oh and now the note also makes sense. Thank you so much :) Haha that´s true :) I noticed that when rewatching it for the editing. Somehow I was way too concerned for her to turn out as one of the timelords, I didn´t pick up on this one in my reaction. It´s funny how brains sometimes work (or not) :D

Nicologik

Thank you for clarifying that. I was wondering so much. I felt that I needed to know her but it just didn´t click. So thank you for telling me. :)

Bit late replying to you comment, too. So touché :D Well I am feeling better but I can´t say that it didn´t take a toll on me. Watching both of those finales so close together was really hard. But I´m glad I have watched them and I´m also glad that the next episodes in both shows will be the first episodes of new seasons, and probably way less intense than the ones I have seen in the last weeks. :) Thanky for warning me about spoilers. :) I´ll be carefull :) I hope I´ll enjoy the next doctor, too. After having watched the first episode I´m not there yet, gotta be honest. But I guess that´s also due to the fact that I didn´t have much time between the episodes. One week is not enough to get over your favorite character dying: But I´ll keep an open mind for the new one :)

Nicologik

Hi, yes those two finales were too close together. And they were so emotional. I´m glad I wasn´t the only one who felt like that, thank you for telling me. I hope you are better now :) Thank you for the links. I can´t watch them right away. I have to ask my mod to give me green light :) But I´ll watch them if he gives me the "ok". :) I don´t really like the new doctor yet, but I will give him a fair chance :D

Hi! The finale of Torchwood season 3 and the finale of DW season 4 took an emotional toll on me as well. But I also watched an emotional clip: Donna Noble | I'M NOTHING SPECIAL. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmqWFYt8Tok It made me a little sad, so I consoled myself with a performance on stage in 2011: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (It stars Catherine Tate and David Tennant!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1fi6624gQE It's a bit long (2:40:35), but I watched it all the way through and didn't regret it... I almost forgot: Dr Who star David Tennant travelled back in time as he returned to his old acting school to pick up an honorary degree. Was awarded an honorary drama doctorate from his alma mater, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. So already multiple "Doctor" And it is not over yet... Of course, I also like the next Doctor, I think you will soon like him too!

Bit late watching this, Halloween party last night. First off, hope you are ok after all this emotion? It still gets me every time. Most of your questions have already been answered although if you haven't looked yet there are slight spoilers around so be careful. No need to regret your reactions to Tennent's first appearance. In fact, for me series 2 is my second least favourite series. This story however has just dropped out of my top 40 with the latest episode that aired, down to number 41. The next Doctor is one of my favourites and two of my favourite stories are coming up soon so I'm hoping you will start to enjoy him.

Jade Ellis

The person at the end you didn’t know who it was. That was the girl from the episode where the doctor became a human with Martha. And John smith fell in love with a woman and he had to change back

I don't know if I am late in mentioning this one too but Alonso is the name of the guy sitting next to Captain Jack in the bar. And he is not from Torchwood, he was in the Doctor Who Christmas special Voyage of the Damned. The one that took place on a space Titanic, .and where The Doctor finally gets to say "allons- y Alonso!" And Donna will be very happy when her lottery ticket wedding present from the Doctor turns out to be a big winner. Which he probably knows it will.

I don't see any need to regret what you might have thought about David Tennant's acting in the early days of playing the Doctor. It takes time for the viewer to become used to a new actor in the role, but it does also take time for the actor to get to grips with how to play the part. Also, in my view, he improved over time, with acting choices made early on that he wouldn't make in quite the same way later on in the role.

Andrew Gwilliam

You were right about him being younger. At the time he took the role he was the youngest actor to ever play The Doctor.

This episode doesn't particularly work for me,I'm afraid. All the stuff with the pointed star from Gallifrey is just so much convenient mumbo-jumbo; while the last fifteen minutes are FAR too emotionally manipulative! However, the performances are first class all round; and the epic scale seems appropriate as 10's final story. You're now about to experience my favourite Doctor from the modern era. :) You may not love him as much as Tenant; but you'll enjoy his stories just as much!
