Lotta Svärd Chapter 21 Covers
Added 2022-03-20 13:37:31 +0000 UTCCapter 21 of Lotta Svärd: Women of War was released, and as usual, I had to think what sort of an illustration conveys the chapter the best. The first concept, with Lahja and Taimi eating their meal was too bland for me, so I aimed to do something more impactful drawing with a fun pose.
First idea had two separate sketches with slight variations to the angle.
Added a .psd-file of the cover image I ended up using.

So finally chapter 21 has arrived. Darn, unloyal competition! That mediocre doctor (I know lots like that in my daily exercise) took Lahja´s vocation and good intentions the worst way possible. Lahja! Your innocence knows no limits! You can also see the difference between Taimi and Vet´s teamwork and the doc´s envy issue. Learn something for this , doctor. Now this doctor pushed my buttons. Wasting food is a crime, no matter if that were for a war prisoner or not. Food waste is a crime! Aha, the super angry Lahja´s face I´ve seen previously on Twitter. A strong reason to enter rage mode dear. Good smack! Ok, the doctor has also a reason to be this rude. This lady (another Lotta, it seems) was really meaningful to him. Let´s hope a development later in the plot. Lahja knew in advance about general practicioner´s advices about not to smoke. Good Tyyne, working on your fear towards animals. Now Lahja is pushing her luck, Leuteniant was the last person who needed to see the prisoners smoking! I don´t know russian at all, but "REAL busty gal with pointy sidehair" was real accurate. Oops, a transfer request. Things won´t be easy for the girls next chapter, because the will argue back, I´m sure of it. Nice data about the skying culture! A real enjoyable chapter this time, and left me wanting more! That´s the gist of it. Keep doing the good work!
