No amount of 'jinking', 'dodging', or 'barrel rolls' will alter that fact of physics." Also, when I read about HD 69830 c, made me think about Fomalhaut and it's only known planet, Fomalhaut b. Fomalhaut has three visible, (OK, two in IR) dust and debris rings around it. Sol Station has a great write up on. I would imagine what the sky would look from a planet orbiting Fomalhaut...
