Alistair, that "Spacer's Runic" is impressive. I'm not sure how intuitive it is, but I like the 3x3 grid each ideogram is drawn in, and how it is an interplanetary pidgin. Sort of like the real-world "International Code of Signals", which can be understood regardless of what language is spoken by the sender and the receiver.
