pathfinding added a lot new variable to events.
make sure no NPC is fighting in you save.
Load it. leave map. enter map again.
things should be fine after this.

I just wanted to tell you what a great job you did on this game. Interesting characters, interesting world, challenging but rewarding gameplay mechanics. You really hit every detail perfectly. I keep wanting to play just to see what else is out there. Very addictive.
