Ummmm, MW is a power rate, kWh is a power amount. The described laser expends power at a rate of 1MW but since each shot is only 0.0005 seconds long, they contain only 0.00277 kWh of power. The battery has 100 shots, so the battery contains 0.277 kWh.

A Tesla Powerwall stores about 10 kWh and is about a meter by a meter and a bit in size. On there cars, an 85 kWh battery masses in a half a tonne. What are they using to store, say, about 20 shots of power in? Ya know what? Shoot the gun, the resulting explosion will take care of the rest...
